Since I started working again, my dad has been a huge help with watching Emma for us. We are so grateful for all of his help. He recently went back to work himself & it was time to get Emma into some sort of daycare.
We decided to leave Emma with a nanny a few days each week. A high school friend of mine has a sister, Lisa, with two small children that is also a nanny. Her kids are 2 &4. Emma's first day with them was today, and she did very well.
When I dropped her off, she said, "BYYEEE" and ran off to go play. When I picked her up, she said "Home," & waved goodbye to her new playmates. Lisa said she did very well. They had fun at the park, she ate her lunch, and she even took a two hour nap, which was surprising because she doesn't normally sleep well for other people.
I think this is going to work best for us. She gets some socialization in & learns to get along with other kids and share the attention.
AND we started potty training again. She's doing better than the first time we tried, but a work in progress.
