Emma is growing up so fast. She's got the best personality. Training her is almost like training a puppy, which sounds horrible - but it's true.
If I say, "Be a teapot" she bends over to the side. If I say, "dance" she boogies down. She loves giving hugs and knows how to work everyone in her presence.
She doesn't say many words, but she tries. She's starting to make more and more sounds that are starts to words.
It could be the worse day - all she has to do is run up to me and smile with her squinty little face - and the world is at peace. She just amazes me.
I have a feeling she's going to change the world.

Christmas '09
Christmas has already passed and we're back home and settled in after a weekend in Carleton. Our Christmas this year consisted of an early celebration with the Greene family, Christmas Eve just the three of us, Christmas day with the Swiontoniowski family, and the 27th with Dan's siblings, their spouses & his parents.
The Greene celebration was good! We had sloppy joes, good conversation, and presents for Emma! She got a Bee Bop Band set from her Great Grandma Greene & Great Grandpa Ken. It's a plastic drum that contains a tambourine, rattle, and the drum sticks. She loves it - and let me just say... she's got some rhythm! She got a Christmas blanket that says "Believe" all over it - very nice! A backpack with her name on it that she LOVES to wear, an M&M bear, and a purse that talks and sings. The purse came with some fake lipstick, a bracelet, a mirror, fake $ and plastic keys. She loves putting the bracelet on and rubbing the lipstick on her lips. She's such a girly girl.
Christmas Eve was nice just having us. Our own traditions and quality time together. We had Chinese food and after Emma went to bed, we played Santa. We set up her dry erase/chalk board easle, set out her sled and filled her Santa Sack with some clothes and a few toys.
Christmas morning Emma woke up to find all of "Santa's" gifts. She opened her stocking to find some big girl underwear, a recorder, chalk & dry erase markers. She proceded to dig through her Santa Sack and play with all her new toys.
We then headed out to Carleton for the weekend. We spent Christmas playing games and hanging out with family at Gramma & Papa Swiontoniowski's. The next day we usually all head out to a movie, but instead we went to Lansing to visit with the Tuma family (Dan's aunt, uncle & cousin) to make up for the fact they weren't able to come to Christmas.
The next day we had our family gathering at Joel & McKenzie's new home with all the siblings and Dan's parents. We had a delishish dinner that all us kids helped prepare, opened gifts & played games. GOOD TIMES! Emma got a bunch of really cool toys/clothes/books for Christmas - so thank you to all! She got a baby doll that she loves to carry around, playing mommy.
I wasn't able to spend Christmas with my mom, or my Alabama family, so I really missed all them. But we are planning on an Easter trip to the big AL like we've been doing the past two years.
Now we're back home, settled, and enjoying the fact that Dan is done with school - he is a Master degreed graduate. Now we can just focus on the new year and all the great changes it will hopefully bring to us.
