Chicago

This past weekend we went to Chicago with Dan's parents. We spent the weekend hanging out with his sister Anna & some other family for his cousin Joan's wedding reception. We had a BLAST! Friday we drove down and spent the afternoon/evening at Christkindlemarket. The weather was perfect & we had lots of laughs & enjoyed walking around downtown for a while.
Saturday Dan, his parents & I went to the Frank Lloyd Wright tour while Emma hung out with Aunt Anna at the library. We enjoyed the FLW tour very much - this guy was a brilliant architect. Next time we go to Chicago we hope the weather will be better to do the walking tour (it rained, otherwise we would've done it while we were there). After that, we went back to the hotel for Emma to nap and for us to have some down time. Then we headed over to Joan's in-laws place for their party. After the party we went back to the hotel and watched tv, played cards & Emma colored with Grandpa.
Sunday we dropped Anna back off at home and headed back to the mitten.
The more time I spend with my in-laws the more convinced I am that I have the best :-)

Trick or Treating!

We trick or treated around my Aunt Debbie's neighborhood again this year. Emma lasted a lot longer than she did this year, probably because it wasn't nearly as cold. She had tons of fun getting her "trick and treats"

And we're spent!

Happy BOO!

Unfortunately I was working all weekend, but Dan & Emma were able to go to the Cider Mill to get some pumpkins at Miller's. Emma enjoyed digging all the "junk" from the pumpkin!
