Alabama

We spent Easter week in Alabama. The weather was much better than last year (tornadoes). It was warm, but not too hot, and we spent a lot of time outside. Emma loves running around, flying her kite, blowing bubbles, and kicking her ball. This girl never stops!

 Emma is a very good traveler. As long as we bring her TV!

Bedroom

We recently painted the pink and green and got rid of her shabby chic little princess room and turned it into a more sophisticated kid-ish bedroom. She inherited my Grandma Greene's night table and dresser. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. The best part is the smell when you open the drawers - still smells like Grandma :)

The only thing missing is the upholstered headboard - it's on my list of projects.

Big Girl Bike

The other day we got Emma's big girl bike out for her to try. With her tricycle, she can pedal backwards; with her new bike, pedaling backwards is the brake. This is going to take some getting used to.

 She decided she loves her tricycle too much, still...

Beautiful Day!

Emma and I had a very nice day together - OUTSIDE! It was 65 degrees (although the wind was most likely a good 25 mph at times) We spent some time at the park, and when Emma decided it was time to go, I didn't want to go home just yet. So I drove us over to Yates and noticed a few fishermen and some other people walking along the river. We stopped and had some fun playing in the sand and "skipping" rocks on the water. Dan is the only one in our family that possesses the ability to actually skip the rocks. Emma and I really just like to throw them and try to make big splashes.
