Birthday Remix

I just had the best birthday with my family. Dan, Emma & I spent the whole day together. We went to the mall and Emma played in the kiddie area for a while. We went to Red Lobster for lunch & Coldstone for dessert. We didn't do much or go any place special, but we all enjoyed each others company all day and it was the best birthday present I could have asked for. Not to mention Emma peed on the potty for only the second time today. I feel like we're about to have a break through with the potty training.

My favorite kid (so far)

Emma's personality shines through a little more each day. We brought up my old keyboard because she loves playing piano. It has a bunch of different songs on it, and every time we play "A whole new world" she burst into tears. It's the cutest & saddest thing.

Spoiled

It's official - Emma is spoiled rotten. We have four Christmas's all together - lots of time with family and lots of presents for Emma. I can't even remember everything she got, but her most exciting and favorites:

My First Rollerskates
Tons of musical and learning toys
Portable DVD player for long car rides
Spongebob stuff
Dress up stuff
Crayola stuff
Gator Golf
& much much more.

Santa & family has spoiled her & she's been enjoying every single ones of her toys. It's been a great Christmas. The best part of it all was watching Emma's face light up with each gift.

Loved Unconditionally

I saw this on a show this morning called Young Icons. These two sisters (with the help of their mom) created these bracelets to create support between mothers and daughters. I had to share. I'm thinking of getting Emma the "loved unconditionally" one.

Christmas Time

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love all the decorations, the lights, the snow, hot cocoa, and exchanging presents.
The best feeling, however, is January first. A fresh start - clean slate. All the negativity of the following year tends to melt away as the new year begins.
That's what I'm looking forward to right now. I love Christmas, but I can't wait until it's all over and the new year begins.
This coming year is my year to get my career on track & get Emma potty trained. She's been dragging her feet on it and we've been letting her slide. There's a lot that I want to accomplish this coming year - and I'm looking forward to making it all happen.
